Finalists and judges

Every year, a group of beadmakers, glass artists and bead historians from all three organisations are selected as the jury to determine the prize winners for Your Bead for Venice. They look at the beads, discuss their technique, beauty and connection to Venetian beadmaking techniques.

Public voting

Not only the professional jury gets to decide the prize winners, there is also a public choice award. The people who visit the museum during Venice Glass Week can vote for their favorite beads. Hundreds of people do this every year.

Tour of Venice

During Venice Glass Week, many of the finalists come to Venice to be inspired, meet fellow bead artists and learn more about Venetian beadmaking and the history of beads in Venice. Part is this is a tour that that CPVV organises to show Venice from a bead history perspective.
