Congratulations!

The 5th Edition of Your Bead for Venice brought together an inspiring community of artists from around the world, receiving 41 submissions representing 16 countries.

The international jury, comprised of representatives from the Committee for the Safeguard of the Venetian Glass Beads, the International Society of Glass Beadmakers (ISGB), and Perliers d’Art de France, had the pleasure of reviewing an extraordinary collection of beads. The jury was impressed by the exceptional craftsmanship, creativity, and thoughtful interpretations inspired by the rich traditions of Venice and Venetian glass beadmaking.

Finalists to be Featured During Venice Glass Week

The selected finalists’ beads will be exhibited at the Venice Museum of Glass as part of Venice Glass Week, taking place September 12–20.

This prestigious exhibition showcases outstanding contemporary beadmaking while celebrating the enduring cultural heritage of Venetian glass. Visitors from around the world will have the opportunity to experience these remarkable works alongside one of the world’s most important collections of historic glass.

The ISGB is the largest international organization dedicated to the art of handmade glass beadmaking using a torch. It is a non-profit organization based in the United States, with members all over the world.

Comitato per la Salvaguardia dell'Arte delle Perle di Vetro

The CPVV is a non-profit committee established with the aim of: Protecting and safeguarding the traditional Venetian art of glass beadmaking, including artisanal techniques and orally transmitted knowledge. Enhancing the cultural and historical value of the Venetian glass bead, a heritage deeply rooted in the city's history. Promoting the art internationally, through educational activities, exhibitions, events, and collaborations with similar organizations abroad.

ASSOcIATION DES PERLIERS D’ ART DE FRANCE

The Association of Perliers d’Art de France (APAF) is a French non-profit organization founded in 2001 and based in Paris. It brings together artisans specialized in the creation of glass beads made with a torch, whether professionals or enthusiasts.
